Change is happening, sometimes uninvited, jeopardizing our future, our health, our security, even our humanity and beliefs.
In the face of disruption and unexpected situations, our empathy, wisdom and values in general are challenged.
Currently, the whole world is in turmoil...
Whether in business or in life, we can be brought down to our knees at any moment.
How we act, react and bounce back will be crucial in determining not only the character and resilience of each person, but also the future of businesses and societies.
2020 has more than its numbers to remember. It is challenging every bit of our life that we, so far, have taken for granted.
COVID-19 is the biggest challenge for communities worldwide, to come together, in collective actions of responsibility, thoughtfulness, flexibility and resilience.
We will need all four components to ride out this storm and bounce back.
Responsibility, to do everything we can to protect people around us and abide by virus containment protocols, so we limit the spread, the suffering of others and the overwhelming of medical facilities.
Thoughtfulness, for people in pain, fighting for their life, and their families. Thoughtfulness for the medical staff, working tirelessly to save lives, for people stranded at sea or far from their families, for those who cannot take care of themselves and will need help.
Flexibility, because in the face of challenges, life must go on, very differently, but responsibly, to help those in need, to stay active and sane, to support each other and stay connected, within the means at our disposal. Assistance is going to be tremendously needed by All.
Resilience, to bounce back and we will, to learn the lessons of uncertainty and harsh change, and mostly to learn that selfishness stands no chance from now on.
